Hi Everybody,

We will be Skyping today with Jim Andrews, a pioneer in the field of music, visualization, poetry and interactive media. Andrews work explores the idea that poetic experience is not the exclusive territory of words and lines. The work casts the interactor in the position of composer, mixing and sequencing voice and audio samples and corresponding lettristic animations that virtually manifest themselves in three dimensions. Andrew’s presentation is in conjunction with the extraordinary E-lit exhibition  “Electronic Literature: A Matter of Bits.”  on display in the RCCA Stedman Galley.

The SkypeOnArt talks give RU Camden an unparalleled opportunity to talk intimately with some of the world’s most innovative art makers.  At free period, artists who are luminaries in their fields Skype in from other parts of the country and globe. They share with us images or video shorts of their work and answer questions. The great thing about the SkypeOnArt lecture series is that the audience really gets an opportunity to direct the discussion. All talks take place at free-period in the Digital Studies Center, Fine Arts Building. Everyone is invited. Feel free to bring you lunch.

Cheers and hope you can join us! Below rate examples of Jim’s work:
